Sally Alder of Virginia Beach, Virginia - Review

After a fall on ice, Sally was diagnosed with a bilateral fracture of the malleoli and dislocation of the right ankle. Surgery was performed inserting a plate and screws for bone fusion. It was then necessary for her to be non-weight bearing for eight weeks. This means absolutely no weight on that ankle.

Sally's use of conventional devices, which included both a wheelchair and walker, were cumbersome and difficult to navigate. For example, the wheelchair, which was necessary, would not go through all of the doorways in her house. The use of the walker required her to “hop” to get around. This was not easy.
